Let's go to Khiva on Aladdin's carpet

On the border with Turkmenistan and inside Uzbekistan, the city rises amid arid lands that were once an orchard as prized by travelers along the Silk Road.

Khiva, considered the finest example of Arabic architecture in Central Asia, appears in the middle of the desert like a mirage to demonstrate what it would be like to immerse yourself in the tales of the Arabian Nights. A wonderful setting that in this aspect even surpasses Samarkand, filling our minds with fantasies and making us feel as if Aladdin, as if in a movie set, is leading us through the streets of this enchanting city.

Qadim zamonlardan qolgan joy

Khiva does not have a precise origin, since it was one of the cities that arose with the advent of civilization, in an area where, despite the arid environment, the Garden of Eden was founded.

Located today in what is now Uzbekistan and part of that country's landmarks along with Bukhara and Samarkand, Khiva was devastated in the 18th century by the Persians and has since experienced a period of splendor, with most of the buildings we can see today being built and were reborn as a true gem, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990.

Despite the fact that Khiva is located far from the current capital of Uzbekistan, it has managed to maintain its landmark in the area as an important ancient city. Its beauty takes us back several thousand years, and it is one of the few examples of Arabic architecture in Central Asia.
